Thermal insulation is critically important for any building. It is the single most important factor in regulating a building’s interior temperature. Whether it’s a home, business, or factory, good insulation will keep the air temperature cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. The measure of how effective any particular type of insulation is at controlling temperature is referred to as its R-value. The R stands for thermal resistance, and the higher the R-Value, the more effective the insulation.
Here at L.B. Hall Enterprises, we specialize in spray-on and blown-in insulation. Both of these types of insulation have several advantages over traditional fiberglass insulation.
- Spray-on insulation is an extremely effective method of insulation. Because this insulation is sprayed onto a surface, it is able to reach every nook and cranny of the area to be insulated. The Blown-in insulation is a loose, fluffy material that is able to reach places that cannot be adequately insulated by fiberglass batting. Another advantage is that blown-in insulation can be easily installed in an existing structure without tearing out walls and ceilings; the loose fill is simply blown in through small holes until it fills the area, and then the holes can be repaired.
We also offer spray-on acoustical insulation. Acoustical insulation is very important in any environment where it is necessary to minimize sound, whether in a home or a business environment. Spray-on acoustical insulation is extremely effective because it can conform to the surface configuration of any structure, avoiding the gaps that can result from trying to combine rigid, pre-made insulation with oddly-shaped structural elements.
